What do you know about the IPYPU? The IPYPU first met June 27-30, 1940 at the Church of Christ in Columbus, OH. Bishop Frank Cunningham was the President (and ODCYPU President) at the time. Since 1940, the organization has transformed into a body of believers who can claim many accomplishments. It is a progressive body, which is known for highly energetic services & diverse programming amongst other things. It is managed by leaders who oversee various areas of the ministry.
Why do you want to serve as an officer of the IPYPU? I want to serve in any capacity that God sees fit to place me in. The IPYPU is in a good place, yet has a large growth potential. I am willing to serve with others in order to bring the organization to where God is calling for it to be, while maintaining it as a respectable entity of the PAW. I want to impact the lives of young people, whom the devil is attacking rampantly.
What do you find most attractive about your position of candidacy? Order within any structured body takes a lot of organization. I view the assistant secretary position as one that helps to maintain organization, flow & process throughout the organization. One of the most attractive aspects of the position is the direct contact with IPYPU membership and membership management…knowing who the membership is and working with others to ensure that the needs of the membership are met.
Why should the IPYPU elect you? The IPYPU should elect the one that God has called to serve in this position at this time. If that is me, I will say that I am faithful, hardworking & put my all into everything that I do. I stay pretty “busy” within the church, but it is all for His glory and not my own. I don’t like “fluckery” - AKA “church mess” and I have zero tolerance for foolishness within the Kingdom. I will always stand for what is right & pleasing in the sight of God. I will represent God, my self, my family, my Pastor, my church, & my council well at all times in my conduct & speech.
What are your long-range goals for the IPYPU? See spiritual growth of those who attend the IPYPU programs & services; see attendance increase in IPYPU programs & services.
