What do you know about the IPYPU? The International Pentecostal Young Peoples Union (IPYPU) was created as an auxiliary of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc (PAW Inc) in to minister to the needs of the younger demographic of PAW constituents. Since then, IPYPU has evolved to serve PAW constituents up to the age of 38. The IPYPU has established an inter-department, IPYPU Teens; to minister to the specific needs of the teen demographic providing a platform for the development of young ministers and workers. The IPYPU continues to evolve while holding true to the apostolic doctrine.
Why do you want to serve as an officer of the IPYPU? I’m a servant, that’s what I do. I’ve enjoyed serving the IPYPU for the past six years and if given the opportunity to serve another term… I plan to give it my all!
What do you find most attractive about your position of candidacy? Positions do not confer privilege or give power; it imposes responsibility. I understand the responsibilities of this position even those that transcend treasury duties. It is expected that treasurers operate in integrity, skill and excellence. It is expected that the IPYPU officers operate in Godly character. Honestly, this position does not have much attractiveness because it is a “hard-working in the background” position. I take pride when my budgets are close to actual and financially the IPYPU is in a position to continue to work for the Lord.
Why should the IPYPU elect you? I have a passion for young people, ministry, and a unique love for the things of God which compels me to operate in a spirit of excellence. I have a deep love and loyalty to this organization so much that I don’t mind going above and beyond in my efforts. I understand the responsibility that accompanies the position even those that transcend treasury duties. I have 6 years experience as the IPYPU Assistant Treasurer and I believe I can effectively do the job!
What are your long-range goals for the IPYPU? I want to see inactive IPYPU constituents regain their zeal for the organization and begin supporting and participating again. I’d love to see the IPYPU effect change in every city that we convene in with more community outreach efforts. I desire to develop and empower the next generation to not only excel in the things of God but also in education and career advancement. Lastly, I want to establish a platform to support our entrepreneurs, artists, and ministers.
