As the Summer School Principal I have instituted various strategies to increase student achievement with national and state standards along with strategies to decrease failures in their course work. I have worked with building level department chairpersons to insure the courses offered during summer school are designed to increase achievement and decrease failures. We have created two new courses in the Math department that will prepare students for higher-level Math courses. In addition, administrative roles, includes but not limited to, interviewing, making teacher recommendations for hire, evaluating teacher performance, and supervising students and teacher schedules.

Ministerial/Business Biography (recommended)

Eric Vaughn Jefferson was born on November 15th, 1974. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a member of Bethesda Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith Inc., under the leadership of Bishop James A. Johnson all his life. Eric received the Holy Ghost at the age of 12. Eric has worked in the church in many different capacities. He has served on the usher board, as a choir director, and currently serves as an associate minister, praise team leader, and the president of the Bethesda Temple Young People’s department.

What do you know about the IPYPU? IPYPU has served young people of the PAW for many years. I first begin serving in the IPYPU by attend conventions during Bishop Howard Tilman's administration and begin working and serving during District Jonathon Ellis's administration as Director of Public Relations. Since that time I have served as Convention Cordinator and presently Vice President. During this time the philosophical belief of the IPYPU is to serve and empower God's people.
Why do you want to serve as an officer of the IPYPU? Being an officer of the IPYPU allows me to serve God's people at the highest order of servantude. Being an officer, is not fame or glory but is following leadership and doing what God has ordined us to do.
What do you find most attractive about your position of candidacy? The most attractive part of my position of candiacy is being in a position to make the IPYPU conducive to the move and the manifestion of God. To provide God's people the opportunity to serve God and worship God in the highest order.
Why should the IPYPU elect you? IPYPU should elect me for this reason, I am about serving God's people and allowing God to be glorified. It is not about a position or a title, it is all about Gods will being done in the lives of the people.
What are your long-range goals for the IPYPU? Goals: 1. To support and carry out the vision of the president. 2. To serve God's people in way that will please God and help his people see a manifestion of the power of God. 3. To assist the other staff members in a collabortive effort to effectively provide programming to the IPYPU.
