Minister Lafayette Young | Family Worship Center | December 29, 2009
Praise the lord! My name is Minister Lafayette Young Jr. I bring you greeting from the Family Worship Center where my Pastor is Dr. Noah Nicholson II. We are located at 5758 W. Fillmore in Chicago, IL. Feel free to worship with us; we are a church where the love of GOD is demonstrated freely. The 2009 summer convention was an awesome experience; I had not been to the convention since Cincinnati. SHOOT YOUR BEST SHOT (Elder David Hollis)! MY GOD! I look forward to participating in the sacred arts department this upcoming convention. I am a solo gospel artist; feel free to catch me in RAW praise & worship on YouTube (Youtube.com/sangboi79/). God Bless! JESUS is lord and forever there will be ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, and ONE BAPTISM ( 4th generation APOSTOLIC).

Praises! Praises! Due to my current deployment status in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I was unable to attend the 2009 Convention; the ‘Great News’ reports that I have received concerning the happenings of this glorious event really made my heart skip a beat. I desired very much to be among the saints and have been a bit perplexed that I have not been able to fellowship with the saints this past year. Nevertheless, I am grateful for this time of ‘Growth’ that God has given me. I have this ‘Pint Up’ praise that I need to get out and his has been difficult to do that on this mission, but God has sustained and just hearing of his ‘Pouring Out’ in the Spirit during this Convention encourages my soul to continue on, knowing that I have a testimony of my own even now that will help someone later on. I am already planning for next year’s event; I have a lot of Praising to make up for! Thank God for those He has put in place to lead the PAW at such a time as this; the message that Bishop Smith put forth concerning Holiness that I heard about really blessed my spirit even here across the waters, because I have felt for so long that we [Saints of God] have really been graying the lines of holiness representation across the nation. Some may say it doesn’t take all this or that, but the main point here is obedience and that, in my opinion is what God is looking for; are we too caught up with impressing man that we have forgotten about the ‘One’ who’s opinion is really the ‘Only’ opinion that matters! Just a thought. Because I have stood my ground on the standards of holiness even here, I have been questioned, criticized and even considered a bit overboard with my responses to the standards that ‘We’, Apostolic Faith believers stand on, despite those few who continue to gray the lines. I, nevertheless, will continue to up hold the teachings of modesty and holiness that my ‘Sheppard’ instilled within me and confirmed in the Word of God! I feel like I have missed a lifetime of worship and praise during this deployment, but seeing the blessing continue flow, as they did during the convention is so worth more than my temporary inconvenience!

What an awesome pleasure it was to join the saints in ATL for the PAW’s 2009 Annual Summer Convention. I could have definitely done without the foolishness of being in Atlanta, but the fellowship with the TRUE saints was wonderful. I met so many new people and had an opportunity to catch up with friend and acquaintances scattered all across the country. I most especially enjoyed seeing my cousin and his family, all of whom I haven’t seen in over five years. You may say this has nothing to do with the Convention or you, but I beg to differ. The Convention and various other events bring us to an array of territories every year, but the question is, do we impact those territories? Well, I can report, we affected this family in our being in Atlanta and I am sure that this is only one of many testaments of our presence…that affects the Body of Christ, the PAW’s reputation, and MY overall happiness. Anyway, thank you Georgia State Council for your wonderful hospitality; “you can’t beat southern hospitality!” To the IPYPU Staff, you put a wonderful system of programming together. So many have complimented on how fulfilling the week was and how much they appreciated the sessions; the details of the Outreach report will add even more excitement I expect. Finally, on a personal note, I would like to give a special shout out to our President… Elder Collier, I want you to know how pleased I am with what you have and are doing with this body of young people. The ministries developments, along with the great strides witnessed in your personal development, keep me excited for the many years of ministry to come. May you be blessed. May your family be blessed. May your business be blessed. And may your life be blessed today and for everyday to come. Amen!

Praise Him Elder Collier. That was an awesome word you gave at the Emmanuel Grace Covenant Fellowship Conference in Tucson, Arizona, last weekend. I'm still blown away from that word. I enjoy that type of preaching. In previous year, Elder Hollis came to our church in San Diego, the Emmanuel Grace Covenant Fellowship, and I still play the CDs while driving the church van. The holy spirit is moving over there and I just wanted to thank the Lord for you and tell you two how you are inspiring me as a new minister. I'm praying for you all, God Bless. P.S. I'm one of the brother's that was shouting in the front row in Tucson.

I just want to say that God is great and greatly to be praised. I just want to say that the President and his Cabinet are doing a wonderful job. I just want to go forward in the Lord and be used. I want God to really bless my new pastor, Dist. Elder Alvin J. Nelson, and First Lady; my pastor, Suff. Bishop Alvin J. Nelson, died last year and it took me a while to get used to new leadership...God knows what he is doing and my pastor is a ture blessing and overseer. God has his hands on my pastor and I'm glad that he allows God to lead him and our church family to new dimensions in Christ Jesus. The lord is waiting for young people to put down their ways and pick up their cross and walk...God is going to continue to bless us all.

I can't wait till the Convention this year, one reason is because it is in my current City Atlanta, though I hail from Detroit, Michigan. Also I haven't been to a convention in years, I can't wait to enjoy the comfort of fellowshipping with Christians from all around the world. God Bless and see you there!

Apostolic Greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. What a wonderful time we had in Louisville, KY. God truly showed up and showed out. I was truly EMPOWERED! Blessings to the IPYPU Staff for a job well done. I am certainly looking forward to working and seeing everyone at the Summer Convention in Atlanta, GA August 2009. See you there should the Lord tarry.

What a privilege it was to join the IPYPU body in Louisville, KY, for the 2009 Empowerment Conference! I was truly blessed by the word and presentations of ministry throughout the weekend. I also enjoyed the wonderful array of sessions and the opportunity to see many friends from across the country. Honestly, it was a huge press to get to KY but I am thankful that the Lord made provision for me to be there. I pray that all who attended were just as blessed and I am already looking forward to 2010 EC! Friday night with Bishop Liston Page was my favorite, but I surely would have been incomplete without Thursday night with Bishop Howard Tillman and the prophetic flow of Prophet Otis Wilcox on Friday…Evangelist Sandra Riley was the bomb! Elder Roger Green’s Prayer Clinic was enlightening. The Mayfield Brothers still have my head hurting with musical excellence illustrated in their Musicians’ Clinic. And the concert featuring Ricky Dillard was awesome! Congrats to the entire IPYPU Staff and Conference Committee for a job well done…Your hard work and labor of love was greatly appreciated and created the perfect environment for God to get glory. Did I say I was excited about 2010 already?!?!
